How to go to Intercity Bus Station in Thessaloniki

KTEL are transport companies mostly for persons but also for goods. They operate in the form of Societes Anonymes. (KTEL SA) Each KTEL is based in a prefecture (Regional unit) of Greece, KTEL can operate urban, local and long distance routes.

While in the past each KTEL had a separate starting / ending point within the city, now all KTEL buses have a common starting point / ending point at the "Macedonia" KTEL Station in the area of Kordelio, in western Thessaloniki. An exception is the KTEL of Halkidiki which has a separate station in eastern Thessaloniki, in the area of the Kosmos Shopping Center.
